CUSTOMS REVENUE.

The total Customs revenue collected during tho quarter ended Juno 30 last amounted to £547,812, as against £551,225 for the corresponding quarter last year. Following are tho principal items, with the increases compared with the second quarter of 1903 .-—Spirits, £141,245, an increase of £15,472; goods, ad valorem £173,918, an increase of £6554; tobacco £84,266, an increase ef £3773 ; sugar and by-products £42,506, a decrease of £2236. The total revenue under tho new preferential tariff was £11,600. Tho excise duties collected on beer amounted to £21,745, and on tobacco, cigars, cigarettes and 'snuff, £414.
