The annual report of the New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union states that after allowing for depreciation and fully maintaining plant there is a balance to profit aad loss account of £647 9s 4d; but in the face of the large quantity of butter carried forward it is not-proposed to divide the surplus at present. The turnover increased during the season, tho total quantity manufactured being 1185 tons, against 1183 tons for the previous period. The cost of manufacturing has been decreased. The milk &upp!y for tho season 1903-4 was over five and a half million gallons. The net proceeds of sales was £74,244. London consignments unsold on June 30 last represented £32,719.
