London, Last Night. Ignace Jan Paderewslri will sail for ustralasian tour in May.
[Ignace Jan Paderewsld, pianist and composer, was born on November 6tb, 1860, in Podolia, a province of Russian Poland. He began to play the piano at the early age of three years. He pursued his studies under the late Frederick Kiel, of Berlin. His first tour included Eussia, Siberia and Rournania. He made his debut after three years' hard study under Theador Lieschetizsky. His first appearance in England took place at St. James' Hall, London, on 9th May, 1900. He has paid four visits to America. In 1898 he was appointed by King Humbert a Commander of the Order of the Crown of Italy, as a souvenir of his appearance at the Santa Cecilia Academy io Rome.]
