The Woodville A. and P. Society's twelfth Show proved a reoord one, close on 2500 people being present. Everything went like clock-work, and there was not a single hitch to mar tho day. Mr Rowe Fennoll (secretary) and Mr Burnett (treasurer) worked extremely hard and well deserved tho onooniums passed upon tbem. Tho gate takings were better than in any provious year of the Association's history, excopt tho first. Tho guessing competitions at tho show resulted as follows:—Tho weight of tho bullock was 8974-lb, and tho first prize was won by Mr G. J. Goldfinch with a guess of 887-Mb, and tho sooond by Mr O. Madden with one of 8871b. The sheep weighed 3Go|lb, and tho first prize was won by Mr J. Lo/.01l with a guess of 3601b, and tho second by Mc W. H. Ynlo with one of3«Hlb. Tho interest taken in the competition was not great. It was vory pleasant to noto that not a single protest was inado at tho Show. Mr Anderson, manager of tho Bacon Company horo states that tho bacon pigs at tho Show wero tho finest ho had over seen at any show, and that tho judge, Mr McQuillan, of Hastings, told him they wero a surprise to him, as ho had not thought such a collodion could ho obtained in tho North Island.

The now Post Officio and BallancoGorge bridgo will bo oponcd on Tuesday, when tho Promier and Sir J. (!. Ward arc expooted. Mr Bottomley has boon entrusted with tho luncheon, so its success is assured. Tho Athletic Society's swimming sports will bo hold in tho Rec. on the same day. In tho evening, a social will bo tondored to Mr O'Moara, M.H.R., at Pahiatua, whon tho Ministors have promised to attend.
