GLADSTONE NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

Tho social and dance held here on Thursday night, in connection with the Library, was a great success. Dancing was kept going till the early hours of tho morning, to excellent music supplied by Miss Smith, of Carterton. Tho funds of the Library will benefit to tho extent of £5, which is very creditable.

Hunting has evidently taken on as is proved by the fact that a great number of school children took part in a paper chase hero on Friday, with the result that they wore late for school.
