♦ Matters Coming to a Climax. Mass Meeting Condemn Police Inaction. (By Telegraph — Press Association} Wellington, This Day. A mass meeting of Nowtown residents, on Saturday ovoning, passed resolutions condemning the inaction of the police in not taking steps to prevent a continuance of the salo of liquor in Newtown. A deputation will wait on the Premier on Thursday in referenco to the matter.
