Fortnightly Horse Sale.

Messrs F. H. Wood and Son, Ltd., held their usual fortnightly horse sale at the Masterton Mart yards on Saturday last. There was a good entry of horses, and a large attendance of the public. Tho stock offered in tho estate of W. B. Craighead was keenly competed for, and realised good prices, as did all useful sorts submitted, the bulk of the catalogue selling before the close of the sale. Aged draughts fetched from £18 10s to £20 10s; harness horses from £10 to £16 ; hacks from £5 to £12; inferior, £3 to £4; gig, £12 ss; harness, £5 10s. A large entry of prize poultry sold at top rates.
