Frozen Meat.

|TO TUB EDITOR. I

Sir,—Replying to my lottor on tho frozen moat question in your issuo of Thursday, you say that tho difforonco between us is that I take a Wellington standpoint, üboroas you look upon this question from tho Wairarapa aspect, etc. I havo tried in vain to fathom what your grounds can bo for making such an unfounded statomont. Tho Directors of the Meat Export Company havo no interests whatever in Wellington, and tho solo question thoy had therofovo to consider was whore the stock could bo killed and frozon to givo tho sottlers tho best net return. Upon this ground thoy doeided upon Wellington after the most careful and exhaustive investigation. It is scarcely necossary for mo to point out how much moro popular a different decision would havo been, and I think you should at least givo tho Directors, credit for having tho courago of their opinions, instoad of wrongfully accusing thorn of looking at tho matter from a Wollington standpoint. —I am, etc., W. C. Buchanan. [Settlors here believe that works at Waingawa would havo given them a better not return. —En. W.O.T.]
