The usual fortnightly Anglican service was conducted here, on Sunday, by the Rev. E. Young.
What might have proved a serious accident, occurred whilst Mr Taylor was riding from Mangahuia to Mr Strang!., The road, which is'in a disgraceful con*; dition, has some defective culvert's. Through putting its foot in one of these culverts Mr Taylor's horso fell, and threw him with considerable violence to tho ground, and he received a severe shaking. Mr Taylor's horse twisted its leg aud became so lame that he had to leave it at Mr Strang's. It is about time that this road was seen to by the Board, as the water-tables are badly in need of attention, - . ;. ...
