The usual fortnightly Anglican service was conducted here, on Sunday, by the Rev. E. Young.

What might have proved a serious accident, occurred whilst Mr Taylor was riding from Mangahuia to Mr Strang!., The road, which is'in a disgraceful con*; dition, has some defective culvert's. Through putting its foot in one of these culverts Mr Taylor's horso fell, and threw him with considerable violence to tho ground, and he received a severe shaking. Mr Taylor's horse twisted its leg aud became so lame that he had to leave it at Mr Strang's.
