The Trentham Meeting

Tkkn.iiam, This Day. Following are the results of yesterday's shooting : — Wellington Match, 500 yds and 600 yds, 10 shots.—W. Ballinger, Petone, £6, 90; Howe, Wellington, £5, 00; Maingay, Piako, £4, 89 : Needham, Pahnerton N., £4, 89 ; Bishop, Hastings, £3,89 ; Shaw, Ohineinuri, £3, SB. The following won £2 each :—Cooper, Linwood, 88; Wilson, Waimate, 87; and Hnbbart, of Ohineinuri, Smithies, of Wanganui, and Gray, of Patea, each 86. Counted out — Armitage, Napier. Nelson Match, 200 yds, 500 yds and 700 yds, seven shots.—This was started in a shower of rain, which increased in violence, with heavy wind, and the shooting was stopped at the completion of the first range. Hyde, of Opaki, Shepherd, of Auckland, Shanks, of Gore, and Captain Ross, of N.Z. Militia, made possibles. The final stage of the Championship will be fired on Tuesday.
