BOWLING.
N.rth Island Association Meeting. (By Telegraph — Press Association). Wellington*, This Day. A meeting of tho Council of the North Island Bowling Association was held last night. The recommendation from tho meeting of bowlers, held during the Palmerston tournament, in favour of having a standard bowl of wider bias adopted was discussed, and it was decided to send to England for a standard No. 3 test bowl. A further recommendation, as to the advisableiicss of each club contributing to tho expense of future tournaments, pro nita, was also considered. A circular was drafted, asking suggestions from tho different Clubs as $q minimising the expenses. It was ror solved that certificates be given winners of all matches of future tournaments.
