Tho Medical Association's Conference resolved to urge the Government toplaco all institutions connected with the treatment of mental and bodily diseases under one Department, and make provision for advanced cases of tuberculosis by erecting aiinr.r<:<i to the hospitals; that better ventilation is required on steamers nnd in railway carriages; and that regulation against over-crowding on steamers be strictly enforced.
liesolvcd that the Government insist on notification by owners of mammary glands in cows, the milk of which is used for human consumption. Tho Conference strongly deprecated attacks on tho Chief Health Otiicer and his assistants in Auckland while carryiug out their duties under the Health Act. Tho Conference resolved that tho statement Ihut scarlet fever is not contagious during tho
"peeling" stage should bo publicly denied.
