THE BOER DELEGATES.
An Interesting Interview.
(By Tdtgraph—Press Association), Palmerston Nortii, This Day. Interviewed by a Itfanawatif Daily Times 1 reporter, Mr liane, Qne~ of thg Boer delegates, said the delegates were taking back to South Africa samples of grass seeds, as it was intended to introduce artificial grasses, the grass being the only grass now known. Great development was anticipated in South Africa. He considered the Ayrshire stock the most suitable for his country. On account of similar climatic conditions stock of this description would be secured from New Zealand and Australia. Mr Lane considers there are great openings in .bis. cquntry for tinned butter and cheese, albs' in weight and fiat shape. The mistake that- was madeifct Canada was in shipping large factSPt sizes. They were only saleable in a few of tho principal towns. Owing to the scarcity of stock good demand must also continue for a considerable time fo? frozen meat.
