C?< Correspondence from the Chief Engineer of Roads, about survey of the Mangahina. and Waiotiaki-roads.—The Clerk to write to get the Akitio end of the Waiotiaki-road surveyed, as the Council will start from that end. From the Masterton County Council re cost of the Ekctahuna-Tenui-road commission, and asking for particulars. —The Clerk to supply particulars. From Mr John Barton, re plan of traverse, by Mr Ottway, thirougb'Matajk'ona homo paddock.—The Clerk tq write that traverse is not procurable, as the plan'went missing between theßoad Board and the Land Office.
From Mr. Wm. Livertpn, re Pakowairoad. Moved by Cr Foreman, an<| seconded by Gr Oarolan, fhat I#r ton be allowed to spend £2 3s qn the Pakowdi-road.—Carried.
A petition having been received from Messrs Harris and others, it was moved by Cr Carolan, and seconded by Or Debreceny, that tenders be called for metalling portions of the Akaroa.-road; tenders to close on 81st January.— Carried.
A petition having been received from Messrs Hutching Bros, and others, it was moved by Cr Debreceny, and eeconded by Cr Burch, that tenders be metalling a portion of the Waihatbad, from the Makuri-Pongaroa-road; tender! to close on 81st January.— r Carried. Moved by Cr Armstrong, and seconded by CrDebrecony, that the Gou'ncil grant £10 towards the Tikaramanga , 'Bridge , , conditionally on heart of and sills beihg used; I—Carried.1—Carried. \ ' ° c
