ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH.
A social was given last night to the St. Matthew's Church Lads' Bible Class, at the Vicarage, when the prizes were presented by the Vicar on the marks obtained for oral examinations and attendance. A very pleasant evening was spent, a novel feature in the amusements being the new game of table-bowls. Miss Itoss, who is the Teacher of the Bible-Class, deserves great praise for the time and thought she gives to the work. The prize ■ winners wore as follows : —lst prize, J. Ensscll; 2nd prize, 11. Busscll; 3rd prize, Frank Spackman; special prize, Reginald Green; certificate of merit, George Apperley.
