A Holiday for Monday.
TtO THE EDITOB.J Sib,—As correspondence has already appeared in your journal, dealing with the Christmas holidays, I have do desire to further the remarks of my predecessors ; but I must say that most of those employed in the various business places are of the opinion that Monday, 24th, included with the subsequent two days (Christmas and Boxing) Would make an appreciable holiday. This beings matter of considerable interest to a large portion of the community, I suggest that the business people hold a meeting for the purpose of considering whetherjt would be advisable to close their piJpses to the public on that day.
