EKETAHUNA NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Tuesday. On Thursday and Friday next the Wesleyan Church Trustees are holdiug a bazaar and exhibition in Pelliug's Hall. I understand that Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.H., is expected to open the bazaar.
A few of our residents are down with tho nieasols. Fortunately, however, the complaint is only a very mild form. Trout are very plentiful here just now. Some really first-class lings have been made lately, and I cannot understand why it is that the Masterton anglers do not patronize the local rivers more than they do. The annual concert in connection with the public school took place on Friday last and was successful. All the items that the children contributed were especially worthy of note, and showed that they must have gone through a great deal of traiuing. Great credit is duo to Mr McDcrmid and the Misses Toohill for the way in which the little children performed. The many friends of Mr J. Jones, who is absent on a trip to Australia for tho benefit of bis health, will be pleased to hear that word has been received that he is greatly improved.
