This match was finished on Saturday last and resulted in an easy win for the former by an innings and 39 runs. Greytown followed on with 109 to save one innings defeat. Their innings was remarkable for slowness of scoring: it took two and a half hours to mako 70 runs. Hawko and llaunscll opened the batting, the former played shakily for nine. Nicholls was bowled by Staples without scoring. Maunsell was the only player to mako any stand. His score was thirty-six and it was obtained by good cricket, J. Judd was the only other one to reach double figures. Foathorston fielded splendidly, Pope, Staples, Keys, and von Dadclszen all bowled well, Pope got 3 for 14, Staples 3 for 17, Keys 2 for fifteen, von Dadolszon 2 for 8, The following are the full scores.
