FEATHERSTON NOTES.
(Fivm Our Own Uormponilentl. Monday. A special meeting of the Stewards of the Wairarapa liaeing Club has becu convened for Thursday afternoon. The business will be a notice of motion by the Chairman, Mr W. E. liidwill, to rescind a resolution passed at the last meeting that no ono should go into the judge's box with the judge unless approved of by the Stewards. Visitors at Tauhercnikau at New Year will notice many improvements, foremost amongst which is the new Stewards stand, which the contractor is fast bringing to completion. Tho stand is a nice-looking building and has a verandah running all around it. On the bottom floor are the Jockey's, Secretary's and weighing rooms. Tho second floor contains tho Stewards' and press rooms; this floor is reached either from the Secretary's room, or by a staircase which runs up at the rear of the building, round the front, and one side of the building is a balcony for the Stewards and press. Over the Stewards and press room and on top of the roof, is a stand which will accommodate over ono hundred people, this stand is reached by tho back staircase before alluded to. From this stand a lovely yiew of the courso and part of tho surrounding country is obtained,
