FIRE AT DUNEDIN.

| The premises of Messrs Taine and Co., chemical manufacturers of Bond street, were gutted this morning. _ The fire was caused by an explosion in the private oflice, from the effect of the sun on chemicals. Within three minutes the whole place was in flames. Tho insurances are:—£looo in the New Zealand and £SOO in the National. The loss is estimated nfc £I,GOO more than this sum,
