Tho pariieulars are as follow :-On Bth August, 1892, tho body of Capt, Liitle was found in his cabin on tbe vessel, which had arrived in Newcastle a few days before, in bnllast, from Itio. The chief witness at tho inquest was Jone?, tbe chief steward, who deposed that tho captain's continued intemperance on the voyage out, and ' his despondency, bad led him several times to attempt suicide, and that, assisted by tho chief officer, witness had looked the cabin to prevent him destroying himself. When the body was found the matter was reported to tho police, and at the inquest the jury returned a verdict of suicide through Mental Trouble. Naples, July 29.
