History was made on Wednesday when the Premier, Mr Mackenzie King, acting in a plenipotentiary’ capacity’ for His Majesty, and the United States Minister (Mr Phillips) signed an important treaty governing increased diversion of water from Niagara Falls for water power and for extensive remedial works to preserve the beauty of the Falls and Cataract.
