DROWNING FATALITY
WOMAN SWEPT OUT TO SEA. GALLANT ATTEMPT AT RESCUE. (Per Press Association —Copyright). Australian Press Association. Received this day, 10.45 a.m. SY’DNEY, this day. The long lisf of drowning tragedies this summer was added to when Florence Woods, aged thirty-four, single, was swept out to aea by the treacherous undertow at Terrigal and drowned.
A gallant attempt at rescue was made by Rone Sterlind, but after supporting Miss Woods for some time she was forced to relinquish her hold to save herself.
