LONDON, April 8.

There was a sensational scene in the South End police court. Edward Wilson, a Canadian ex-soldier had just been fined 40s for stealing a pair of boots and a razor belonging to William Salmon, with whom he was lodging when instantly Salmon rushed into the dock and exclaimed: “Ha, got you! - ' and stabbed Wilson in the back with a dagger. Women shrieked and Salmon reeled and fell. The police grabbed him and a few minutes later he appeared in the dock charged with attempted murder.

Maison was seriously injured.
