HUIMAI CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Huimai Football Club was held in the Willowbridge Hall on April 4th. There was a good attendance of players and supporters. An apology for absence was received from Mr W. The secretary read several letters of interest to the club, one from A. Gorton, organising secretary for the R. A. Ross Fund, acknowledging subscription of £1 Is from the Huimai Club; one from the Waimate Rugby Sub-Union congratulating the club on its win at Fairlie of the T. D. Burnett Shield; also from the Maheno Football Club ehallenving Huimai to a friendly match at Maheno on the 23rd of April.

The election of officers resulted in Mr J. C. Faulkner being unanimously elected president. Last year’s

vice-president was re-elected, with the addition of Messrs G. Stewart, P. J. Convery, T. Turnbull, B. Richardson, and Air R. Capell the secretary, was re-elected. Delegates, Air F. Simpson, Air Baxter; Club captain, Air R. Forsyth selectors, All- R. Forsyth and Air J. Heath; coach, Mr J. Heath. It was decided to have a Junior and Third Grade teams, also that Huimai would travel to Alaheno on the 23rd. inst, to have a friendly match with that Club. A hearty vote of .thanks was passed to Air J. C. Faulkner for his very generous gift of a framed enlargement of the Club. Votes of thanks were also accorded Alessr.s A. B. Hayman ami R. Deacon, and the Willowbridge Hall Gimimittee for their generosity in the past year. The chairman congratulated the Club on.fits success last year, and hoped if would continue to play the g00d.,, old game with equal sri-cess this year.
