POISONOUS LIQUOR
CAUSE MANY DEATHS. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 30. Following protests against the deaths caused by the Government poisoning liquor, the secretary of the Treasury (Mr Mellon) announces that the Government will cease using the poisonous denaturant of industrial alcohol, substituting a nauseating unpalatable non-poison-ous ingredient.
