The Maoris defeated Cardiff bv 5 pointe to 3 Twenty-five thousand witnessed the Maoris’ magnificent victory, after a tremendous struggle at Cardiff. The packs, characterised by fierce rushes, severely tried the Maoris’ defence on several occasions and a score was only averted in the nick of time. Gold wan once pulled down within a yard of the line. It was a ding-dong game throughout.
