BOXING NIGHT. “THE TRAIL RIDER.” The eld cattle war in Kansas, when the northern rangers strove to prevent southern cattle infected with the Texas fever tick from entering their grazing lands, serves as a basis for “The Trail Rider,” the latest Buck Jones’ starring vehicle. Buck plays the part of a daring hail rider whose task is to keep rustlers from driving cattle across the deadline. While he does not actually succeed in this, he does discover the villain behind the plot, and in doing it, Jones has ample opportunities to show all of the ex pert horsemanship for which he is noted. Nancy Deaver and Lucy Fox ap T ear in support of the star in thWilliam Fox Production. Others in the cast are Jack MacDonald, Carl Stockdale and Will Walling.
