VOCAL RECITAL.
BY MISS WESTMACOTT’S PUPILS. A delightful vocal recital was given by Miss Erica Westmacotts pupils, at the Savoy Tea Roioms on Monday evening, and was much, enjoyed by the large and appreciative audience of parents Mid friends, Mrs N. D. Mangos, of Tiniaru, play' ed the accompaniments in her usu al accomplished manner, and Mr J. C. Hill rendered several violin selections which were encored. The stage was tastefully arranged with bowls of roses and tall brass vases of lupins and greenery. Miss West macott s striking toilette was bi ivory and black georgette over silver embroidery. Mrs Mangos wore a graceful gown of black satin and lace over white georgette. The following is the programme : —Songs, “Because,” and “Across the Blue Sea,” Miss Ida Murray; ' Love s Old Sweet Song” and “An Emblem,” Miss Edna Dunstan, I ‘Praise” and “I’m alougin’ fo I von,” Miss May Baikie; “Silver Ring” and “The Dream is There/’ Miss Jessie BucJianan; “Requiem and “The Spring Has Come, ’ Miss Doris Manchester; Grey Days and “White Birds,” Miss Gladys Haslam: “Ave Maria” and “Indian Love Call,” Miss Mona Melton; “The Wanderer” and “The Sea Road,” Miss Edith Cocks; “Break of Day” and “Smile of Spring," Miss Marjorie Duffel. Mr Hill s selections wore “Moto Perpetuo, encore “Serenata Toselli,” and “Valse Triste,” encore “Ave Maria.” Supper concluded an enjoyable evening.
