HIGH SCHOOL v. MORVEN. On Saturday afternoon, Morveß. played 'a most enjoyable cricket match against High Schodl'on the latter’s grounds. Morven. batting first, compiled 22 runs For School, Wallis and Veitch bowled exceptionally well, while Sam•ways and Lockhart fielded well. School, batting for about If' hours, made 112, to which Campbell (38) and Hayman the opening batsmen. were the chief contributers. The former’s runs took over an hour to make. The Tidswell brothers and Rollinson Junr., bowled very well, one of the former keeping the batsmen very quiet. Miss Olliver one of the teachers, helped by Miss M. Medlicott and several High School girls, served a delicious afternoon tea in the Technical school. On behalf of Morven, Mr Meredith thanked the ladies and the sc' 00l team. Mr Wallis suitably r.ptd.
