OBITUARY.
FEB FBBSS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT WELLINGTON, Monday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received a cablegram from the htead office in London announcing the death, on July 19, of Mr Warrington Laing, who occupied the position of chairman of the London directorate during the past eleven years. The deceased gentleman visited New Zealand in 1920. MASTERTON, Monday. The death occurred suddenly this morning of Mr Bland Rayner, a wellknown Lincoln and Romney sheepbreeder and a prominent exhibitor at Dominion shows. DUNEDIN, July 23. , Mr H. E. Shacklock, one of the directors of the well-known firm of H. E. Shacklock and Co., died suddenly this morning, as a result of a heart seizure. NEW YORK, July 23. The Rev. Cyril William Emmett, Dean of University College, Oxford, died in a local hospital from pneumonia after a week’s illness. The Dean and Mrs Emmett arrived recently. The former intended to deliver a series of services hero during the summer.
