BURGLARS IN WAIMATE.
PREMISES OF MR MOORE ENTERED. GOODS TAKEN—BUT MONEY LEFT INTACT.
Sometime last night the premises of Mr R. Moore, outfitter, High Street were burglariously entered. The burglars, in order to carry out their nefarious scheme, had to'gain admittance to the backyard of the premises either by the high door between Mr Moore’s and Grant and Wright’s premises, or from Grigson Street.
Entrance to the shop was made by means of a window at the back of the budding, which was found to be locked. The burglars first of an tried to prise up the, window apparently with a piece of iron, which was found lying outside this morning by Mr Moore. This attempt, however, was unsuccessful.
