BRITAIN AND ITALY.
Per Press Association—Coryrigtit. ROME, May 21. Newspapers are inspired by Mr Lloyd George’s speech to journalists and have re-opened a discussion on an Anglo-Italian Entente. The “Giornale D’ltalia” affirms that it is almost a certainty that the speech was the result of a iieyr diplomatic pact which came into existence between England and Italy and had been recognised by agreement for the defence of the Mediterranean where equilibrium was necessary in the interests of a general peace. Messages declare that England realised that development of aviation has ended her naval supremacy, and now needs the help of Italy which commands the airway eastwards.
