Rodolph Valentino, a noted movie star, married Winifred Hudnut, the daugh ter of a rich American perfumer, before his final divorce decree had been granted from Jean Ackner, a movie star, and hi s first wife. The second marriage occurred in Mexico. Valentino, upon his arrival at Los Angeles, was arrested on a charge of bigamy. The penal code fixes ten years’ imprisonment . or a fine of 5000 dollars as the punishment for bigamy.
