AWFUL HOLIDAY SMASH. YORK-LONDON EXPRESS. Press Assn.--By Tel. —Copyright. LONDON, August 8. The York-London express crashed into a holiday train bound for- Leeds from Bridlington, while the latter was pulling out of Selby station this afternoon. The express cut through the first coach of the Bridlington train, the engine of which fell on a signal cabin, wrecking it. Two coaches were, derailed. Three signalmen jumped from the cabin when they saw the express approaching. The express kept the rails. Both trains wore crowded, and fourteen passengers of the Bridlington train were injured.
