NEW ZEALAND 0N 12th August a special passenger train stopping at Dunsandel, Rakaia, Ashburton, Temuka, Timaru, St. Andrews, and Studholme, to pick up passengers for Dunedin, will leave Christchurch for Dunedin at 10 p.m., Timaru 1.20 a.m. (.13th), Stnuholme 2.5 a.m. and arrive Dunedin 6.0 a.m., 13th August.
On 13th August a return special passenger train, stopping at Studholme, St. Andrews, Timaru,. Temuka Ashburton, Rakaia, and Dunsadel to set down passengers from Dunedin will leave Dunedin for Christchurch at 9.20 p.m., Studholme 1.29 a.m. (14th), Timaru 2.20 a.m., and arrive Christchurch 5.35 a.m., 14th August. , Holiday excursion tickets,-season tickets and free passes will not be available by these trains. WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of the Counties’ Act, 1920, The Timaru Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1890, sections 4 and 5, and other Acts amending the same, it is the intention of the Waimate County Council at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, the 24th day of August, 1921, to make and levy a general rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property as shown in the Valuation Rolls now
in force for that portion of the Wai- ’ mate County as is included in the Timaru Harbqur Board District. The said rate to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1921, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1922, and to be payable in one sum on the first day of October, 1921, at the office of' the Waimate County Council, Queen Street, Waimate.
