Extensive litigation is expected, to arise owing to Signor Caruso’s habit of making a new will almost monthly. It is reported from Sorrento that a will, dated a few weeks ago, which was found under the pillow in the death chamber, has now disappeared. It is also alleged that before the officials arrived to seal the effects, 1,000,000 lire worth of jewellery vanished. The story goes that mysterious people shadowed Signor Caruso from the date of his arrival in Italy.
