GERMAN RESTRICTIONS CEASE. JOYOUS CELEBRATION. “ <*» . London, yesterday. The “Daily Express” Munich correspondent, states that while Britain is still suffering from' the war-time liquor restrictions, Munichers joyously celebrated the return of the beerdrinkers status quo.
A gigantic statue of Gargbrinus, the Beer God, was erected in the principal hall, and the cellars were connected with the mouth of the statue, from which poured a continuous stream of beer of pre-war strength, which was supplied free to hundreds of men and women and children, who brought tankards, pots, and pans, and drank to the beer god, and participated in dances.
