* UNITED STATES AND LIQUOR. A “BONE-DRY” AMENDMENT, Per Press Association—Copyright. (Router’s Telegrams.) Received 8.10 p.m. Feb. 22nd. WASHINGTON, Fob. 21. The Senate has passed a “bone-dry” | amendment prohibiting shipments ot liquor into States already having prohibition. This makes absolutely dry fifteen more States which now allow importations of liquor in limited quantities. A total of twenty-two States, comprising one third of the area of tho United States will hereafter be absolutely dry. This is tho first step ever taken by the Federal Government to exercise control over liquor in the States, POOD RIOTS IN AMERICA. Received, 12.5 a.m., Feb. 24th. NEW YORK, Feb. 22.
