In the Legislative Assembly, Mr Lane read a cable f roja Mr Chamberlain, announcing (o assent to the Comraomvealth Bill, and congratulating, on behalf of the Imperial Government, the Premiers and people, on the consummation of the patriotic task, trusting that Western Australia would shortly declare to join in the Commonwealth.
