At the Coroner’s enquiry into the death of John James Stone, the prisoner who died while under removal from the gaol to the hospital, the medical evidence was that deceased suffered from kidney disease lor which be had been treated in the gaol. A verdict was returned accordingly. RUSH FELLER. KILLED, GORE, June, 21. John Mills, a bushfeller, was killed at Port Awanui at 3 o’clock in the morning, a largo tree being blown on his tent. His mate escaped, slightly injured.
