ADDINGTON 1 LIVE STOCK MARKET. At tho Addington livo stock market on Wednesday there was again a large entry of fat shoe]), a few more fat lambs than last week, and a small entry of store sheep. Tho latter maintained tho keen demand that has been manifested all through the season, and fat lambs recovered 6d per head from tho decline of last week. Prime fat sheep wore firm at lato rates. Fat cattle, of which there was a large yarding, showed an improvement in price. Pigs sold at about last week’s rates. STORE SHEEP. The entry of store sheep was a small one. Lambs formed about half tho yarding, the larger part of the balance being ewes, a few pens only of wethers being offered. There was a fair attendance of buyers. For all classes the sale was a remarkably good one. In ewes tho improved demand reported lart week was more than maintained, the range of prices being slightly higher. Lambs were unchanged, the market having an upward tendency for forward sorts. Tho entries of wethers included nothing of superior quality, the top price being 16s 9d. Quotations:—Ewes: Two,, four, six, and eight-tooth to 17s 3d; four, six and eight-tooth low-condition, 15s lOd to 16s 6d for tho best sorts, four and six-tooth, medium 14s, sound-month 13s 6d to 15s 6d, six and eight-tooth, small, IGs, full and failing mouth 11s to 13s, and aged ewes 7s to 9s. Lambs, best class 13s to 13s Gd, good 11s Cd to 12s Gd, medium 10s 9d to 11s 2d, small and inferior 9s to 9s Bd, ewe lambs 12s 5d for smp.ll halfbreds, to 13.; for throequarter breds. Wethers: Best sorts to 16s 9d, good sorts 15s -5d to IGs.

FAT SHEEP. Tho fat sheep pens wore again fully occupied with a mixed yarding, of which ewes formed tho largest proportion. There was keen competition for wethers, a number of prime lines of these being offered. The best classes of owes also sold well, hut inferior sorts that failed to arouse any competition from export buyers were rather move difficult to dispose of, but, according to their quality, they brought good values. The range of prices was;—-Extra prime wethers, to 28s Gd; prime, 18s to 21s; others 15s to 17s Gel; extra prime ewes, 20s 8d; prime, 14s Gd to 19s Gd; others, 10s to 14s; extra prime merino wethers, 19s 3d.

FAT CATTLE. In tho fat cattle pons the entry showed an increase on the previous week, the total reaching 320, compared with 242 at the previous week, and 19') at the sale held on June sth. The yarding included a number of large bullocks in excellent condition, and the usual proportion of heifers and cows. For tho best class of hoof the market was distinctly brighter than at some recent sales, and tho price of the best quality of beef showed an appreciation equivalent to Is per 1001b, reaching to 30s, against 29s last week. Other classes of hoof were unchanged, prices ranging from 23s 6d for cow beef to that given above. Steers realised £7 7s Gd to £ll, extra tp £l6 17 Gd ; heifers £G to £ll 2s Gd, and cows £ls 10s to £ll 10s. STORE CATTLE.

The yarding was very small, and consisted principally of cows, many classes of stores being unrepresented. There was a free demand for anything good, but the absence of entries of the kind required prevented much business from being done. Yearlings mado 37s 6:1. two-year steel's £4 7s 6d, throeyea,;' steers £G ss, and dry cows 27s to £3 7s Gd. DAIRY COWS.

Dairy cows wore represented by a small entry, chiefly of a poorr class. There was considerable enquiry for good cows, but few of this description came forward. Prices ranged from £1 8 to £8 10s, an done extra to £ll ss. PIGS. There was a fairly large entry of fat pigs, but the yarding included a number of unfinished linos. Prices wore unchanged. Choppers mado 60s to 87s heavy haconors 60s to 70s, and lighter 50s to 57s 6d, equal to sjd per lb. Tlio best class of porkers made 41s to 47s Gd, and smaller sorts'3ss to 40s, equivalent to 6d per lb. Stores were represented by a fairly largo entry, and there was a good all round demand, small being in special request. Large stores made 34s to 38s Gd, medium 22s to 325, small sorts 14s to 21s, and woaners 7s 3d for small sorts to 14s for well grown pigs. FAT LAMBS. The yarding of fat lambs totalled 5G75, or 356 more than last week. There were some very good lines on offer, and though there were many unfinished lots, the proportion of these acre not so largo as the week before. There was a good demand all through

the sale, and prices were firmer by about Gel per head. Tegs made IGs 6d to IDs 2d, and a few extra to 22s 6d, average freezing weights 13s to 16s, and lighter 12s 4d to 12s 9d, there being an absence of the very light lambs that sold below 12s last week. Several lot.- were bought by graziers, and a few I pens wore passed in.
