WOMENS' FIGHT FDR VOTES.

A women’s demonstration in Philadelphia, protesting against the increased price of meat sprinkled kerosene on the meat. They broke the botchers’ windows and have organised a general boycott. Many arrests have been made. THROUGH CLERICAL SPECTACLES. LONDON, June 20. The Archbishop of Canterbury read at two large meetings held in Queen's Hall, to consider the religious aspects of the women’s movements, deprecated the dwelling unduly on the Parliamentary franchise. Womens’places in the country's life calls for far-reaching con sideraticn of the old formula, which was inapplicable to the facts of to-day. Reaction has the elements of greater danger and they should consider the question in the light of Christian teaching.
