STRIKE FIZZLING OUT. [PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION- —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, Juno 15. The strike is fizzling out. The Secretary of the Seafarers’ Union of Southampton informed - the London Strike Committee that Tillatt had no right to issue a manifesto without the consent of the affiliated unions. The Bristol Dockers’ Executive declared the strike off. The Strike Committee members believe there is a possibility of the Industrial Council affecting a settlement, but they still demand all the strikers reinstated.

The employers of Bristol are incensed at the breach of contracts and numerous strikers will not be allowed to resume at present.

“ALL BOUNCE AND BUNKUM.”

LONDON, June 16. The Secretary of the Seafarer’s Union at Southampton, declared that all the London Strike Committee’s telegrams were bounce, bunkum and bluff. The seafarers desired progress and plony, not progress and poverty.

A Special Committee of the International Association for Labour legislation mot in London to consider the reduction of working hours by international agreement. The Hon. Jas. Colvin, Minister of Mines, arsrived from Reefton last night. He was unable to do anything in the Reefton mining dispute, owing to the absence at Waihi of the manager of the Consolidated Company. Mr. Colvin remains at Westport until Tuesday.
