Signor Liay, who was defending at the Camorra triol at Viterbo, ha.spoken for three weeks, when tho prisoners complained and declared that unless the speech was curtailed, four of them, who were suffering from heart disease, would die in gaol. Signor Liay was incensed at their ingratitude and doffing his gown, quitted the Court.
Ihe trials have been postponed, and the Judge is striving to persuade Signor Liay to resume his defence.
