The Italians hoodwinked the Turks by means of a feint near Fhizuim. Under cover of the battleships which shelled large bodies of Turks preparing to resist the supposed landing. Meanwhile the others battleships escort ed a largo convoy of transports elsewhere on the Libyan Coast and disembarked them.
