CENSUS RETURNS.
PUT press ASSOCIATION, —COPTRIGBT ] MASTERTON, April 20.—The census of the borough of Masterton shows the population to be 5163, as compared with 5,025 five years ago. A large number of local residents now live in tne suburbs, and the poulation of Greater Masterton is fully 7000. SOME WEST COAST FIGURES. The recent aensus shows the population of Brunnertcn to be 1007. Since the previous census Westport’s population has jumped from 3645 to 4726. The population of the ' Inangahua County is 4505 and of the ‘ Murchison County 1013. In 1905 the figures were 3835 and 802 respectively.
