King Try went away with the lead and won easily by 3 lengths; Gold Braid a neck away from second horse. Time 1.45 2-5.

Borough Handicap Trot, 35 sovs, 11 miles.—Mainiot (17secs) 1, Chips (12)‘ 2, Convent Bell (11) 3. Eight others started. Maimot trotted well throughout and won easily. Time 4.11. Highweight furlongs.—North Pole (10.6) 1, Divorce (9.12) 2, Negative (9.10) 3. Also started—Waiwareware (9.12), Hillspring (9.10), Katua (8.12).- A splendid race.-Negative and Divorce were leading from North Pole when half the distance had been covered, but the latter came fast run in the staright and won by half a length, the others close up.
