TIMARU LOANS
POLLS FOR £86,000 CARRIED. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.) TIMARU, April, 19. Polls were taken here to-day upon three borough loan proposals, viz:— £36,000 for the extension of drainage in tho new borough; £IO,OOO for new streets in the new borough; and £40,000 for new municipal buildings. About 1000 people voted. Tho two larger proposals were carried with only a few dissentients. The third proposal was carried by about a 2 to 1 majority.
