LA CROSSE.

.CHRISTCHURCH, April, 18. It is proposed by Mr. A. H. Casey, who is at present here on a visit to establish a La Crosse Club in Christchurch. Mr. Casey, who is an ardent enthusiast of the Canadian national game, has been instrumental in forming La Crosse Clubs in both Wellington and Auckland, the game proving very popular in those centres. Annually, representative matches are held alternately in each centre. It is proposed that a meeting of those interested in the introduction of the game in Christchurch be held during Mr. Casey’s stay here.
